Citizen Science Frameworks

Citizen Science Frameworks

Online citizen science platforms, such as the Zooniverse, has successfully facilitated scientific research and discoveries on a scale that would otherwise have been impossible. Enlisting volunteers into the process of scientific research using online citizen science platforms is therefore on the rise across various disciplines and contexts and so is the interest in development of customisable platforms.

The Citizen Science Frameworks project documents, structures and analyses various citizen science ventures to identify common aspects and processes in order to create reusable frameworks and improve currently existing ones.
