Sociagrams

The ambition of the Sociagrams: Rapid Assembly of Social Machines project is to create a methodology and a tool to design social machines that uses a novel graphical language with executable semantics. The purpose is to allow a (basic) working prototype of a social machine to be automatically generated from its representation in the graphical language, that is, on the basis of its 'sociagram'.

Some of the specific research questions we explore in the project include: Are we able to describe (most) social machines as hypergraphs where nodes are actors and hyperedges are interaction protocols? Can a working prototype be automatically generated from a sociagram-structure and if not what additional information is needed?
